Held in San Fransisco between 11-13 July, Obducat presented new products and capabilities as well as offered customers a prime chance to meet with representatives from Obducat. CEO Patrik Lundström, “It’s quite efficient to arrange for customer meetings since you can have several in a short amount of time since many of our customers are also here.”
One of the key announcements was the name change from solar-semi to Obducat Europe. Furthermore, Obducat also introduced their newly appointed Sales Manager for North America, Alex Gahrahmat, to customers. Both announcements create a heightened awareness of Obducat’s continued expansion focusing on establishing a global sales network in the key markets – the latest addition being the start of its own sales organization in the USA.
Patrik continues, “Our joint view is that the number of visitors and meetings was an improvement compared with last year. There were more high-quality leads with more concrete needs. It’s also noticeable that the semiconductor industry in general is expecting to continue expanding during the next year, which will increase the number of opportunities for growth. Based on discussions held, it’s apparent that neighboring industries, e. g. biomedical, find an increasing benefit by tapping into the production infrastructure from the semiconductor industry – this is an area which will continue to be addressed from our side.
