Obducat signs evaluation agreement with world leading display manufacturer and accelerates the development

During the evaluation Obducat will also generate revenue through the agreement. Due to confidentiality the customer cannot be disclosed at this time.

- “We have seen a significant increase in the interest in our Large Area technologies and systems. The interest has also been boosted by the addition of solar-semi product portfolio. To stay ahead we have decided to accelerate the development plans and launch the Sindre Large Area system mid-2016. The SINDRE Large Area targets Generation 5 (1.1x1.3 meters) substrate sizes” says Kristian Thulin, Managing Director Obducat Technologies AB.

- “The acquisition of solar-semi has provided us with an existing equipment platform for substrate coating and handling which is a key process step connected to NIL. The equipment platform is already available for Generation 5 type of substrates. This will allow us to shorten the development time which is of strategic importance” says Patrik Lundström, CEO of Obducat AB (publ).

Obducat launched its EITRE Large Area system earlier this year. That system is targeted towards R&D customers in the display and solar cell industry.
