The EITRE system has been purchased by the Facultad de Ciencias, UNAM and it will be installed in the Microfabrication Lab of a new multidisciplinary building of the School of Science. The Eitre system will be used in research and development work of different applications based on micro and nanofabrication.
The National Council for Science and Technology in Mexico, CONACyT, have provided financial support for investment in the NIL system.
– “The targeted applications, in which the NIL system will be used, currently include bio-devices such as biosensors and scaffolds in tissue engineering, organic electronics and photonics systems (sensors, OLEDs, solar cells, functionalized thin films). Other R&D areas of interest that will benefit from the new EITRE system are in the fields of quantum optics and non-linear optics", says Dr. Mathieu Hautefeuille, who is heading the Microfabrication Lab.
– “We are very proud that the prominent Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, one of the top ranking universities in Latin America has chosen Obducat as supplier. This installation is especially exiting as it is our first in Latin America”, says Patrik Lundström, CEO, Obducat.
