OBDUCAT, leading manufacturer of lithography solutions based on nanoimprint lithography and electron beam lithography, coordinates a transnational project, named ANILP, initiated through eurostarsTM. The project was given ranking no. 10 out of 510 eligible applications by the independent evaluation panel. The project is focused on developing a new manufacturing platform for advanced nano patterning on large area surfaces based on Nano Imprint Lithography (NIL).

Progresses in nano patterning technology has enabled improvement in performance and quality of existing products as well as the introduction of new products on the market. This progress however is still restricted by limitations in the size of surfaces that can be nano patterned.

In order to enable the utilization of these nano-enabled benefits in industries where manufacturing is based on patterning large surfaces as well, Obducat initiated the formation of this consortium which will address the development of large area NIL equipment, stampers and applicable materials and processes.

The goal of the ANILP project is to establish a 730 mm x 920 mm (Gen 4) large area manufacturing platform for advanced nano patterning based on NIL. This manufacturing platform will be designed to address the needs in industries producing components such as Organic LEDs (OLEDs), Solar cells and displays.

The consortium consists of three distinguished partners from Germany and Sweden. The project is coordinated by Obducat from Sweden and partners are AMO GmbH and Temicon GmbH from Germany. The project will start on November 13, 2013 and is scheduled over three years with a total budget of 2.2 MEUR.
