Obducat: Obducat receives order from City University of Hong Kong
The EITRE system will be used in Professor Stella Pang’s research work at the Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. Professor Pang, who previously worked as Professor at University of Michigan in the US, is a user of Obducat’s NIL technology since 2003. The EITRE system will be used for research work within the area of 3D scaffolds and tissue engineering. NIL is the only nanopatterning technology that allows repeated and fully controlled 3-D surfaces to be produced at the nanoscale. These 3D nanodevices...

Obducat: OBDUCAT PARTICIPATES IN EU FUNDED PROJECT GREENANOFILM
Current knowledge in modern material science allows for the preparation of a myriad of tailored nanomaterial and self-assembly technologies are the most used methods for preparation of nanostructures. This progress has created a huge and growing interest for high-resolution patterning of films to create the next generation of materials with improved performance and functionality. The aim of the GREENANOFILM project is to design and develop, using environmentally friendly processes, ultra-high resolution patterned nano-organized films using self-assembly...

Obducat: Obducat confirms installation of the NIL pilot manufacturing line at Kimberly-Clark
Obducat and Kimberly-Clark entered into a Joint Development Agreement in June 2011. In May 2013 Kimberly-Clark placed a purchase order for a Sindre NIL pilot manufacturing line with Obducat. In November 2013 a Factory Acceptance Test was concluded at Obducat facilities and now the Site Acceptance Test, performed at Kimberly-Clark facilities in the US, has been approved. The pilot line will be used for production of medical devices being developed by Kimberly-Clark. The FDA approval process is ongoing and provided that the approval can be obtained...

Obducat: Obducat to lead consortium for development of world’s first large area Nano Imprint Lithography solution
Progresses in nano patterning technology has enabled improvement in performance and quality of existing products as well as the introduction of new products on the market. This progress however is still restricted by limitations in the size of surfaces that can be nano patterned. In order to enable the utilization of these nano-enabled benefits in industries where manufacturing is based on patterning large surfaces as well, Obducat initiated the formation of this consortium which will address the development of large area NIL equipment, stampers...

Obducat: Obducat participates in M-ERA.NET project developing new “smart” materials
Biosensor and microfluidic technologies are a key topic for the development of new Point-of-Care (POC) analysis system useful in the health care sector. In order to further broaden the use of these POC systems a new generation of bio analytical tools must be developed which will improve characteristics in terms of stability, sensitivity, selectivity at the same time as the manufacturing cost can be reduced. In the field of electrochemical biosensors, the development of new electrode surfaces and recognition elements with high stability, sensitivity...
